Get Started
Seven Seas is a mobile web3 game where you hunt for treasures in the real world. They are several ways to get started into the game, depending on how much you can spend, and how much you are familiar with web3 and blockchain usage. Follow this guide to find how to get started with the most suitable way for you.
Select a mode
Pirate
To play as a Captain you need to buy at least one pirate.
When playing as Captain, you are ensured to get a reward for every treasure found during a hunt.
You can gradually improve your crew (add ship, more pirates, items) to increase your count and amount of rewards.
Thief
Thief mode is the free to play mode of the game.
You can earn gold without buying anything, however the odds to find gold highly depend on how much rewards were unclaimed by other players.
Select a level
Easy
Start playing without leaving the app. More expensive, but the more appropriate for players without web3 knowledge.
Web3
Needs more setup and web3 / crypto knowledge, but the most affordable way to play.

2. Login
Use your favorite social provider to log in.
3. Evaluate your chances
Check the home screen to evaluate your chances to find a chest with 25 PGLD on your next hunt.
Chances is the ratio of treasures not found by other players during their own hunts over the last 24 hours.
4. Start a hunt
Start a hunt by spinning the rudder.
4 treasures (chests) will spawn around your place, and if your are lucky enough, one of them contains 25 PGLD!

2. Login
Use your favorite social provider to log in.
3. Buy a pirate
Go to the market and buy your first pirate.
4. Add pirate to your crew
Go back to home screen, and click “add a pirate”.
You are now ready to hunt!
5. Start a hunt
Start a hunt by spinning the rudder.
2 treasures (chests) will spawn around your place. Go a get them to earn PGLD.
Later, to increase your rewards (and the number of treasures spawned) you can buy a ship and add more pirates to your crew.

Either log in with your favorite social provider, or import your own wallet from a seed phrase.
3. Retrieve private key
If you logged in using a social provider, retrieve your game wallet private key (get it from the profile screen) and import it to your favorite browser/mobile web3 wallet.
The game runs on Polygon PoS blockchain: remember to add a few MATIC to your game wallet to pay transaction fees.
4. Buy PGLD
Open the lair webapp and login with your game wallet.
Then use the swap link to buy some PGLD (2000 PGLD are required to buy a pirate).
5. Buy a pirate
Pirates can be minted from the lair webapp.
Click “mint” from the pirate tab to mint your first pirate.
4. Add pirate to your crew
Go back to app, and from home screen, click “add a pirate” (you may have to wait a few seconds for your pirate to appear on the app).
You are now ready to hunt!
